Hello. My name is Kristina and I am a Slovak-born creative currently based in Prague. While my diverse interests drive me to continually explore and experiment, my primary passions lie in fashion and photography, particularly when these fields intersect.

I’ve always loved stories. Telling them, in particular, is my favourite part now. All the wild wild adventures I've encountered and all the kind and lovely humans I got to meet along the way are one of my main sources of inspiration.
(Ask me about the time I was 18, travelling solo and got stuck in Milano because of a snow storm, with no place to stay and got “adopted” by a former stranger Francesca and her beautiful family.)

It’s February 25th, 12 minutes after midnight and the first time parents came home from a date night to their 15 day old baby. The movie was about 3 hours long and it was the longest 3 hours for me and my mom who were babysitting the tiny human. Which by the way was all fun and games until we ran out of breast milk and the baby wouldn't stop crying. Upon their return, I remember all of us gathered in their bedroom while my sister was trying to simultaneously get undressed, eat dinner and feed the baby. I caught a glimpse of motherhood. The room was filled with laughter and everything felt so aligned. The setting, simple and intimate, underscored the raw, unfiltered reality of motherhood.

Created in collaboration with beloved Bratislava based flower shop Atelier Jarabina, who so kindly donated their floral waste. Multiple different techniques were used in the process of colouring the natural fabrics used for the garments in this collection. This project was a beginning of a (still ongoing personal) research on using alternative environmentally friendly techniques of colouring fabrics in the fashion industry.

This collection was created as a part of an annual competition held by Bratislava Fashion Days. The theme for year 2020 was Love and the collection placed third. In my approach I decided to use participatory design. I asked my friends what love means to them, gathered the answers in 3 languages and custom printed it onto fabric, which I later used to create the garments. Created during the pandemic, with lots of love and respect, and some amount of uncertainty about the future. This project marks the official start of my creative journey.
